Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 June 2025  ·  Escapio, Hat Yai, Songkhla, Thailand

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Escapio ("we", "us", "our"), a watch repair workshop registered and operating at 88 Phetkasem Road, Hat Yai, Songkhla 90110, Thailand, and any person ("you", "the client") who contacts us, brings a watch to our workshop, or uses our website at escapio.pro.

By submitting an enquiry, handing a watch to us for assessment or service, or placing any order for our services, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, please refrain from using our services.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date shown above reflects the most recent revision. Continued engagement with our services constitutes acceptance of any updated version.

2. Our Services

Escapio offers the following watch repair and maintenance services at our Hat Yai workshop:

  • Pre-Owned Inspection — A written condition report covering movement health, case integrity and likely service needs. This is an assessment document, not a regulated valuation or appraisal. The report reflects the condition of the watch at the time of inspection only.
  • Mechanical Movement Service — A full strip-down, cleaning, lubrication and reassembly of a mechanical caliber, followed by timing checks on a calibrating bench. Service scope may vary depending on the condition of the movement. We will advise if additional work appears necessary before proceeding.
  • Strap & Bracelet Fitting — Sizing, link adjustment and fitting of leather, rubber or metal straps, with spring-bar replacement where needed.

All services are carried out on our premises at 88 Phetkasem Road, Hat Yai. We do not offer collection or postal services at this time. Work is only carried out by prior arrangement or in-workshop drop-off.

3. Estimates and Pricing

Prices shown on our website and quoted verbally or in writing represent the standard charge for each service under typical conditions. Actual costs may vary where:

  • A movement or case is found to be in a significantly different condition than initially apparent
  • Additional parts are required beyond those included in the standard service
  • Unexpected complications arise during disassembly that require extra time or specialist attention

Where a final cost is expected to differ meaningfully from the original estimate, we will contact you before proceeding with additional work. You may at that point choose to continue or to collect the watch in its current state. Any work already completed will be charged at the rate agreed.

All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of labour. Parts and consumables may be charged separately where applicable.

4. Acceptance and Turnaround

When you bring a watch to our workshop, we will record its condition at intake. A written note of visible condition — including any pre-existing marks, damage or missing components — will be made and shared with you at the time of drop-off. This record protects both parties.

Turnaround times are estimates based on current workshop volume and the complexity of the work. We do not commit to specific completion dates unless agreed in writing. We will keep you informed if a delay arises.

We reserve the right to decline a service at intake if a watch presents in a condition that we do not consider appropriate for the service requested, or where we believe the outcome would not meet a reasonable standard.

5. Collection and Storage

Once we notify you that a watch is ready for collection, we ask that you arrange to collect it within 30 days. After this period:

  • We may apply a storage charge at our discretion
  • After 90 days without contact or collection, we will make reasonable efforts to reach you via the contact details provided at intake
  • After 180 days with no response to our attempts to contact you, we reserve the right to treat the watch as abandoned, in accordance with applicable Thai law

Payment is due at the time of collection. We accept cash and bank transfer. Watches will not be released before payment is settled in full.

6. Liability

We take care of every watch brought to us and carry out all work with appropriate skill and attention. However, please be aware of the following:

  • Watch repair by its nature carries some inherent risk, particularly with older or worn movements. Where we identify a significant risk before proceeding, we will notify you. Where a risk becomes apparent during the work, we will pause and contact you.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing conditions that were not visible or apparent at intake and that become evident only during disassembly.
  • We are not liable for any loss of value, loss of use, or consequential loss arising from a delay in completing a service.
  • Our liability in relation to any single watch is limited to the cost of the service performed.
  • We are not liable for damage caused by an owner's attempts to service or adjust a watch before bringing it to us.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for matters that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Thai law.

7. Parts and Components

Where original manufacturer parts are not available, we may use compatible aftermarket components of appropriate quality. We will advise you where this is the case before fitting any non-original parts. Any parts removed from a watch during service may be returned to you on request at the time of collection.

We do not source or procure parts on behalf of clients for watches we are not currently servicing. Parts supplied by clients for use in a repair must be provided before work begins.

8. Pre-Owned Inspection Reports

The written inspection report provided as part of our Pre-Owned Inspection service reflects our professional assessment at the time of inspection only. It is not a valuation, a buyer's or seller's guarantee, or a representation of the watch's monetary worth.

The report is intended to provide factual, observable information about condition. Any decisions based on the report — including a private purchase or sale — remain the responsibility of the parties involved in that transaction. We accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of our report.

9. Website Use

The information on our website at escapio.pro is provided in good faith for general reference purposes. We make no representations about the completeness or ongoing accuracy of the content.

Use of our website is at your own risk. We are not responsible for temporary unavailability due to maintenance or technical issues beyond our control.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising from the use of our services or website that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Songkhla Province.
