How long does a mechanical movement service take?

Most full movement services are completed within 7–14 working days, depending on the caliber and current workshop load. We'll give you a realistic estimate when you drop the watch off, and let you know if anything changes during the process.

What does the pre-owned inspection actually cover?

We look at the movement's general running condition, power reserve behavior, case integrity (lugs, crown, crystal, caseback), bracelet or strap wear, and note any issues worth attention. The result is a short written report — not a certificate, but a practical reference for a buying or selling decision.

Do you work on quartz watches as well as mechanical ones?

The movement service listed here applies to mechanical and automatic calibers. For quartz movements, please get in touch and describe the watch — battery replacements and basic quartz checks can sometimes be accommodated as a shorter visit.

Can I supply my own strap for fitting?

Yes. If you've purchased a strap elsewhere and want it fitted correctly, bring it along. We'll check lug width compatibility and fit it with the appropriate spring bars. There's no need to buy the strap from us.

How is pricing determined — are there hidden additions?

The prices listed reflect the standard work described for each service. If something unexpected comes up during a service — a worn part that should be replaced, for example — we'll contact you before proceeding, so you can decide. Nothing additional is done without your agreement.

Is there a way to track progress while the watch is with you?

We don't have an automated tracking system, but you're welcome to call or message for an update at any point. We're a small workshop, so responses are direct and personal — not routed through a call centre.
